Aramark UK are currently recruiting a Barista to join our team working at Colchester Institute, Unit A, Sheepen Road, Colchester, CO3 3LL.


We are looking for a keen coffee enthusiast to make specialty hot drinks, alongside providing excellent customer service on the tills. You will be working with a fantastic team and supporting the day-to-day running of the unit. You will be leading your team to success and ensuring the overall smooth day to day running of the unit.

  • This is a full-time position, 37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday. Shifts range between 8am - 5pm, leaving your evenings and weekends free - a rarity when you work within hospitality.

A day in the life of a Barista Supervisor:

  • Making hot and cold drinks to spec – a fantastic way to show off your latte art skills or learn new ones.
  • Operating the till, processing cash and card transactions, upselling products and sizes and providing excellent customer service to our customers.
  • General cleaning of the unit, including sweeping/mopping the dining areas, rubbish disposal, general clean down of the unit and ensuring all designated cleaning tasks are complete.
  • Cashing up, opening and closing of the unit and delegating tasks to your team to ensure the smooth day to day running of the site.
  • Placing orders and assisting with stock takes and marketing
  • Serving prepackaged / made to order food and cakes – ensuring all Health and Safety procedures are followed.
  • Stocking up and rotating stock daily, ensuring the unit stock is faced up throughout the day and dated correctly. 

 

You will be set up for success if you have:

  • Must be able to pass full security vetting and Enhanced DBS checks
  • Previous Barista experience is desirable, however not essential as full training will be given on site.
  • Previous supervisory experience is beneficial
