Title:  Junior Sous Chef

We're looking for a Junior Sous Chef to join our dynamic Hotel Kitchen team at Chessington World of Adventures. This is your chance to work in a fast-paced, exciting environment where no two days are the same - and where your leadership and creativity can truly shine.

The Role

As Junior Sous Chef, you'll support the Head Chef and Sous Chefs in the day-to-day management of our busy hotel kitchen operations. You'll lead by example, stepping up to manage the kitchen in their absence, while inspiring and developing your team.

This is a hands-on, fully operational role - you'll run a culinary production station during service and take care of light administrative duties during quieter periods.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain exceptional standards of cleanliness and hygiene
• Support food safety management and compliance
• Ensure cleaning schedules are completed accurately
• Lead, coach and mentor a large kitchen team
• Delegate tasks effectively and confidently
• Deliver consistently high standards of food quality and presentation
• Work collaboratively on the line during service

What We're Looking For

• Experience in a large commercial kitchen
• A genuine passion for food and developing people
• Confidence to lead, motivate and challenge a team
• Strong knowledge of food safety legislation
• Excellent communication and literacy skills
• High personal standards with strong attention to detail
