Title:  Chef de Partie

Aramark at Thorpe Park is recruiting for Chef de Partie!

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the team as a Chef de Partie at Thorpe Park. In this role, you will support the culinary team in producing and presenting high-quality food across the site, with a primary focus on catering for hotel guests in one of our main park restaurants.

Aramark provides world-class contract catering services to our extensive list of clients across the UK, including Defence & Judicial, Private Industry, Education, and Sports & Entertainment. We are very lucky to have some of the best culinary and catering talent that the UK has to offer working within our teams.

Job responsibilities include:

• Preparing and cooking delicious food for our hotel guests
• Having full knowledge of all menu items served
• Monitoring portion and wastage control to maintain profit margins
• Helping with the training and development of any Commis Chefs or Demi Chef de Parties working with you
• Completing daily paperwork to cover due diligence
• Work collaboratively with the other chefs regarding the maintenance of food levels, food quality and brand standards
• Management of production and food levels to ensure minimum wastage
• Maintaining high food hygiene and health and safety standards
• Working with the other chefs to make sure all shift opening and closing checklists are completed

The ideal Chef de Partie

• You'll need to be enthusiastic, approachable, and confident
• You must have previous experience in a kitchen role
• Be able to remain calm under pressure and complete tasks in a timely manner
• Be a great communicator both with peers as well as the management team
• Be adaptable and flexible to support with business requirements
• Be approachable at all times with a positive can-do attitude and show willingness towards being a team player
• Food safety qualifications are desirable
• Due to the nature of the business, flexibility is required. This will include some weekends, bank holidays and evenings.
