Location: Helles Barracks Catterick Garison, DL9 3PS
Pay: £12.71/hour   
Contract type: Permanent, part-time, 20 hours/week, 5 days out of 7 covering some weekends.
Shift times: between 0830 and possible finish time of 2000, working in both the Retail Shop and occasionally in the bar.

We’re looking for a Retail Assistant to work at Helles Barracks. In this role, you’ll be the friendly face of our retail unit, making sure customers have a great experience every time they visit. 
You will be responsible for managing production and food levels to ensure minimal wastage and be supportive of new team members to support them with their learning procedures and standards for all kitchen tasks.

To be eligible for this role, due to the sector requirements: you must have been a UK resident for the past 3 years and have legal right to work in the UK and be able to pass full security vetting and DBS checks.

What you’ll do:

⦁    Delivering/maintaining a high standard of service in every aspect of retail
⦁    Maintaining the correct stock levels in the shop and replenishing stock on shelves
⦁    Cleaning shop shelving, refrigeration, and counters as needed to ensure that the shop always maintains the highest standard of cleanliness
⦁    Managing/storing incoming deliveries
⦁    Completion of paperwork and cashing up of tills at the beginning and end of each shift
⦁    To offer excellent customer service to all consumers
⦁    Must be flexible in all aspects of working rosters (including weekends, evenings, and bank holidays).

What we’re looking for: 

⦁    Excellent team player and communicator.
⦁    Security checks and DBS are required for this role.
⦁    Previous retail or customer service experience is helpful, but not essential – we’ll provide full training 
⦁    Comfortable working as part of a team and occasionally on your own flexibility and the ability to innovate.
