• We are currently looking for a Chef Assistant to work with our integral team at Richmond Centre, Munster Barracks, Catterick Garrison, DL9 3PZ

Perks of the Job

• Hourly rate of £11.55
• Full time – 35 hours per week – 5 days over 7
• Shifts range between 6.30am – 3pm

What you'll be doing

• Assisting Chefs with day to day cooking and prepping of food
• Potential to train to get your NVQ level 2 in culinary 
• You will be performing the day to day tasks of a Chef and learning on the job
• Working well as part of a team, supporting one another and communicating well
• Learning how to follow recipe cards to prepare, cook and serve a range of meals
• Completing daily paperwork to cover due diligence 
• Assisting with deliveries and stock checks
• Placing food orders and maintaining kitchen records
• Sharing responsibility with the Chef manager/Catering manager for the checking, probing and signing of all food deliveries
• Monitoring and recording temperatures of fridges, freezers, hot cabinets and serveries.
• Assisting in daily and weekly kitchen deep cleans
• Full knowledge of all menu items served
• Undertaking relevant training as required.

Experience

• No experience, just a willingness to learn and a passion for cooking! 
• Excellent team player and communicator
• DBS required
• Flexibility and the ability to innovate
