Aramark UK is looking to hire an experienced and dedicated Training Manager to join the team at HMP Birmingham, B18 4AS. This is a permanent and full time opportunity reporting into our General Manager on site and you will oversee and manage all food and food safety training within the prison.
The site is a category B mens prison feeding c1,000 inmates breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Our suitable candidate will need to successfully complete a full vetting check prior to starting.

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver Food Safety training to prisoners working within catering areas
- Deliver allergen training to prisoners working within catering areas and
- Ensure all prisoners working for Aramark have been inducted into their
- work area
- Train staff on the induction process
- Keep all induction and the training matrix up to date
- Complete practical demonstrations
- Coach and mentor candidates
- Instruct prisoners in Health and Hygiene
- Train prisoners and staff in the use of all kitchen equipment
- Assist where necessary in food preparation.
- Complete Monthly safety checks for all areas
- Identify any further training needs for all staff and action as appropriate.
- Coordinate training and all relevant training administration
- Identify learners for NVQ and enrol
- Complete registration tracker
- Meet monthly KPIs and provide monthly training stats
Key Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of food having worked in a kitchen and food safety
- Level 3 food safety qualified
- Experience training and developing individuals
- A strong communicator with patience and resilience
