Aramark have a exciting opportunity arise for a Chef Supervisor to work within our catering team here at HMP Birmingham, B18 4AS, this is a role that involves working with & supervising our Prisoner Workforce.
This role is suited to a Chef with a conscientious and innovative approach who will develop and has the commitment to deliver exceptional service in line with our customers and client demands. This is a customer facing role and requires a proactive individual. You must have resided in the UK for the past 5 years and have legal right to work and be able to pass full security vetting and DBS checks.

- Full time! 35 hours per week, 4 shifts per week, alternate weekends

What you'll be doing
- Work with a team of chefs and enhanced inmates to deliver meals, 3 times a day
- Supervising and assisting enhanced inmates in the kitchen
- Work alongside prisoner workforces and assist them in cooking meals and preparing food
- You will be responsible for the preparation of basic quality foods within a set pre ordered menu
- Effective and efficient food production in line with recipe sheets
- Full knowledge of all menu items served
- Ensure the kitchen is clean and tidy
- Fill in all relevant paperwork and due diligence forms
- Be an excellent team player and be able to deal with conflict if it arises
- Undertake relevant training as required
Experience
- Must have resided in the UK for the past 5 years and have legal right to work
- Relevant culinary qualification
- Must be able to pass full security vetting and DBS checks
- Previous supervisory experience
- Experience working in a large scale kitchen
