Job Description

Manage cleaning services across multiple sites, ensuring high service standards, client satisfaction, compliance, and profitability while leading and developing site teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day delivery of cleaning contracts, ensuring contractual and service level requirements are met.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships as the main point of contact.
  • Conduct site inspections, quality audits, and implement corrective actions where needed.
  • Recruit, train, supervise, and support cleaning teams to deliver high standards.
  • Manage staffing levels, rotas, attendance, and performance.
  • Control budgets, labour costs, and consumable usage to achieve profitability targets.
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation, COSHH, risk assessments, and company procedures.
  • Investigate incidents, complaints, and non-conformances, implementing improvements where required.
  • Produce performance reports, attend client review meetings, and identify opportunities for service growth and improvement.

Qualifications

Person Specification

Essential

  • Experience managing cleaning or facilities management contracts.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
  • Budget management experience.
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and COSHH.
  • Strong organisational and IT skills.
  • Full driving licence.

Desirable

  • Facilities Management or Cleaning Management qualification.

Working Environment

  • Multi-site role with regular travel.
  • Flexibility to work occasional evenings, weekends, and participate in an on-call rota if required

Health & Safety

  • Promote a positive safety culture and ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and company policies.
  • Ensure staff are trained, risk assessments are completed, and PPE is used appropriately.
