Job Description

We require a strong Part Qualified Accountant(ACA, CIMA, ACCA) /Accounting Technician to perform a variety of tasks to support the Commercial Accountant for N.I. The ideal candidate will be self- motivated with excellent organizational and oral and written communication skills.

Job Responsibilities

  • Month end transactions including accruals, prepayment, supplier statement reconciliations
  • Assist with the processing of Accounts Payable and Receivable including Credit Control
  • Assisting with creating annual unit budgets
  • Reporting of monthly performance for management review
  • Analysing variances & investigating unit performance issues
  • Assisting in monthly forecasting of regional performance to year end
  • Financial support to Regional Team in driving base business, margins and implementing cost reduction initiatives
  • Bid support as required for new/retention bids
  • Assist in-start up process for new units
  • Monitoring performance of newly opened contracts and reporting any variance to bid expectations
  • Various ad hoc projects and commercial analysis

Qualifications

Essential Criteria

  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office specifically Excel
  • Be fluent in verbal and written English
  • Proven track record in preparing and analysing high quality financial data
  • Experience in busy Finance Department
  • Experience of using accounting software e.g. Sage, Oracle etc
  • Part Qualified Accountant(ACA, CIMA, ACCA) /Accounting Technician

Desirable Criteria

  • Experience of working in a multi-site organisation
  • Desire to learn & grow within commercial accountancy field
