We are currently looking for a Chef to work with our integral team at Elizabeth Barracks, Pirbright, Surrey, GU24 0DT

What you’ll be doing

• Cooking and preparing food for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
• Working well as part of a team of chefs, supporting one another and communicating effectively.
• Following recipe cards to prepare, cook, and serve a variety of meals.
• Completing daily paperwork to ensure due diligence.
• Assisting with deliveries and stock checks.
• Sharing responsibility with the Chef Manager/Catering Manager for checking, probing, and signing off on all food deliveries.
• Monitoring and recording temperatures of fridges, freezers, hot cabinets, and serveries.
• Assisting in daily and weekly kitchen deep cleans.
• Having full knowledge of all menu items served.
• Managing production and food levels to ensure minimal wastage.
• Acting as a trainer/coach for new team members to learn procedures and standards for all kitchen tasks.
• Undertaking relevant training as required.

Experience/Qualifications

• Relevant culinary qualification
• Previous experience in a similar role
• Driving licence desirable
• A CTC Security check will be required
• Must be eligible to work in the UK
• Allergen awareness
• Excellent team player and communicator
