Job Description
We are seeking a Premium Bar Staff member to join our team in Dublin, Ireland. In this role, you will deliver exceptional service in a high-end bar environment, crafting premium cocktails and providing an outstanding customer experience. You will be the face of our establishment, combining technical bartending expertise with genuine hospitality to create memorable experiences for our discerning clientele.
- Prepare and serve a wide variety of cocktails, spirits, wines, and beers with precision and creativity, adhering to premium standards
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations on beverage selections based on customer preferences and occasion
- Maintain exceptional customer service by engaging with guests in a professional, friendly, and attentive manner
- Manage bar operations efficiently, including cash handling, inventory management, and stock rotation
- Operate POS systems and other bar management software accurately and efficiently
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe bar environment at all times, following health and safety regulations
- Train and mentor junior bar staff on cocktail techniques, customer service standards, and bar procedures
- Monitor and manage bar inventory, placing orders as needed to maintain optimal stock levels
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve any service issues with professionalism and discretion
- Comply with Irish responsible beverage service regulations and company policies
- Contribute to a positive team environment and support colleagues during peak service periods
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of bartending experience in premium or upscale bar environments
- Advanced knowledge of mixology, cocktail recipes, and classic and contemporary drink preparation techniques
- Comprehensive understanding of spirits, wines, beers, and other premium beverages
- Proficiency with POS systems and bar management software
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage diverse clientele
- Excellent time management and multitasking abilities in fast-paced environments
- Demonstrated ability to maintain composure and deliver quality service during high-volume periods
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining premium service standards
- Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certification or equivalent (required for Ireland)
- Knowledge of Irish hospitality standards and local beverage preferences (preferred)
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Professional appearance and demeanor consistent with premium venue standards
