Job Description

We're looking for a dedicated and hardworking Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic team in Dublin, Ireland. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in maintaining exceptional standards of cleanliness and organization while supporting a busy kitchen environment. As a Kitchen Porter, you will play a vital role in ensuring smooth day-to-day kitchen operations and contributing to a collaborative, supportive team atmosphere where efficiency and excellence are valued.

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the kitchen and back-of-house areas, ensuring all spaces meet company and food safety standards
• Wash pots, pans, utensils, crockery, and kitchen equipment efficiently and thoroughly using appropriate cleaning methods and equipment
• Assist with the receipt, storage, and organization of food and supply deliveries in a systematic and organized manner
• Support chefs and the wider kitchen team with basic food preparation tasks and kitchen operations when required
• Ensure all waste is disposed of correctly and recycling procedures are followed in compliance with company standards and environmental best practices
• Keep kitchen storage areas clean, tidy, and well-organized at all times, recognizing items that need restocking or maintenance
• Follow food safety, health and safety, and company procedures consistently, demonstrating a commitment to a safe working environment
• Work collaboratively with team members to support smooth kitchen operations and respond promptly to requests from kitchen staff
• Adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks simultaneously with resilience and flexibility
• Maintain personal hygiene standards and wear appropriate protective equipment as required
• Handle kitchen equipment and supplies safely and responsibly, demonstrating care and attention to detail

• Physical stamina and capability to lift, carry, and handle kitchen equipment and supplies safely
• Reliability, punctuality, and a flexible approach to work schedules, including willingness to adapt to operational needs
• Willingness to learn and support the wider catering team with enthusiasm and openness
• Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene principles with a commitment to maintaining these standards
• Previous kitchen porter, dishwashing, or cleaning experience is desirable but not essential; we welcome candidates eager to develop their skill set
• Ability to follow instructions and procedures accurately while demonstrating problem-solving mindset
• Resilience and adaptability when managing multiple tasks simultaneously in a dynamic environment
• Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
• Familiarity with kitchen equipment handling and basic maintenance awareness
