Job Description

We're looking for a detail-oriented and customer-focused Cashier to join our team in Dublin, Ireland. In this role, you will be the first and last point of contact for our customers, delivering friendly and professional service while maintaining accuracy and efficiency at the checkout. As a Cashier, you will process transactions with precision, handle various payment methods responsibly, and create positive customer experiences that reflect our commitment to excellence. Your reliability, organizational skills, and collaborative spirit will be essential to supporting smooth store operations and customer satisfaction.

• Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using point-of-sale (POS) systems
• Handle cash, card payments, and other payment methods with precision and integrity
• Reconcile cash drawers at the end of each shift and report any discrepancies promptly
• Provide friendly, professional, and empathetic customer service to all customers
• Answer customer inquiries and resolve payment-related issues with patience and problem-solving skills
• Maintain a clean, organized checkout area and ensure compliance with company standards
• Assist customers with product information and recommendations when needed
• Follow all security and cash handling procedures to protect company assets
• Collaborate with team members to support store operations and optimize customer flow
• Remain calm and professional in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a cashier or in a similar customer-facing retail role
• Proficiency with point-of-sale (POS) systems and payment processing technology
• Strong numeracy skills with the ability to handle cash and calculate transactions accurately
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in all transactions
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated customer service excellence and friendly demeanor
• Strong problem-solving abilities and adaptability to changing situations
• Reliable, punctual, and professional work ethic with strong integrity
• Ability to remain composed and efficient in fast-paced retail environments
• Preferred: Multilingual capabilities
• Preferred: Experience in retail or customer service environments
• Preferred: Knowledge of advanced payment systems and fraud prevention measures
