Aramark Food Services is currently recruiting for a Restaurant Supervisor to join our team in Chichester. The successful candidate will assist the management team in the provision of an efficient catering service to the standards required by Aramark.  

This is a full-time role working 35 hours per week.  

The Catering Supervisor will assist the Chef manager in the day to day Control, Operation, Supervision, and direction the staff in the preparation and production of food and service to the customers in the staff restaurant.   

Key Responsibilities

To assist the Assistant manager in the supervision of staffing and service levels. 

To ensure the smooth running of service and to make sure front of house is supervised, well stocked, clean & tidy and well-staffed. 

In conjunction with the Assistant Manager to secure a safe and efficient operation on a day-to-day basis. 

To be responsible on a day-to-day basis for the control, reconciliation and security of the cash takings, floats and cash reconciliation sheets. This should also include regular cash and safe checks carried out throughout the week. In conjunction with the cashier control clerk. 

Assist the Assistant Manager/Manager at end of week period to complete weekly company bookwork as required. 

Completed open & closing checklist for service on a daily basis 

Assist the assistant manager at end of month period to complete monthly company bookwork as required. Including Stocktaking and reconciliation of hospitality etc. 

To ensure all company HACCP & ISO records are taken on a daily basis in line with company procedures with completion by yourself and delegation to other members of staff. 

Assist the assistant manager in the control of food portions at kitchen and staff restaurant levels. 

Along with the assistant manager ensure efficient utilisation of materials, food and equipment by. 

Reporting equipment defects to the facilities department and initiating repairs as required. 

Complete staff rotas and holiday request forms in a timely manner. 

Assist with the monitoring of the food records and equipment as laid down in Company Policy 

Ensure all bakery goods are available for night shift, and re-order if necessary 

Ensuring the hygiene of the restaurant and the kitchen equipment to Company standards / policy. 

Assist in the allocation of duties to kitchen staff as required by Chef Manager. 

Check the quality and quantities of food during delivery, preparation and service. 

Assist in the investigation of complaints in respect of the catering service and take corrective action. 

Deal with minor customer related complaints in the prescribed manner; bring them to the attention of the Assistant Manager/ Manager 

Offer Suggestions to Chef Manager regarding improvements to the catering service i.e. Menu Planning and methods used. 

Other duties as assigned from time to time to ensure the smooth running of the department by the Chef Manager. 

Requirements

Present an image at all times conductive to good customer relations. 

Attend Meetings and in –house training courses as required. 

Assist in the training and re-training of catering staff. 

Maintain personal hygiene, appearance and uniform to Company Standards.  

Deputise for Chef Manager when required. 

Ensure all accidents however minor are recorded in the accident book as laid down in accordance with Company policy 

Assist in the promotion and implementation of Company Health & Safety policy. 

Assist in the promotion and implementation of the Companies equal opportunity policy
