Job Description

The Route Supervisor will:

  • To lead, train and support the Route Sales Representatives (RSR's) in delivering Superior Service to our Customers.
  • To actively supervise and motivate RSR's.
  • To exceed client needs and expectations.
  • To support RSR's in the retention of all customers.
  • To support RSR's in uncovering upselling opportunities within our existing client base.

Job Responsibilities

Maintain a route presence of 50% providing leadership, training, development & evaluation of the RSR's.

Dedicate 50% of the work year to client visitations, administrative work, management training & other duties as required.

Provide back-up relief for RSR’s

Provide route-relief for Victoria location

Manage the use of handheld devices to ensure accurate inventories, invoicing & waste control.

Confirm daily that routes are scheduled efficiently.

Maintain customer satisfaction, focusing on client retention & ensuring “at risk” clients are identified & supported.

Conduct weekly inventory checks.

Perform client audits as required

Host RSR daily check-ins & safety talks

Correspond via email or phone with clients as required within 24 hours

Maintain maintenance schedule on vehicles.

Ensure daily DVIR reports are completed & any issues are addressed with a sense of urgency.

Support RSR’s, warehouse & technicians to maximize efficiencies. (assisting with deliveries, packing orders, installations, warehouse maintenance, etc.)

Seek opportunities for placement of additional sales, services & contract extensions




  • Experience in customer service and sales environment.
  • Must have a valid drivers license.
  • Knowledge of computers / software.
  • Access to a vehicle is an asset.
  • Post secondary education is an asset.
