Job Description

The Warehouse Worker is responsible for receiving and processing incoming stock/product, preparing and completing orders for delivery or pickup, and performing inventory and quality control. Prepare orders according to production guidelines while adhering to food safety, food handling, and sanitation procedures. Essential functions and responsibilities of the position may vary by Aramark location based on client requirements and business needs.

Job Responsibilities

    

  • Performs transfers or products and/or merchandise to and from the warehouse 
  • Responsible for receiving products and merchandise, checking for quality and damages to items, and the proper storage of the delivered products and merchandise
  • Breaks down, cleans, and sanitizes workstations and equipment
  • Properly stores food by adhering to food safety policies and procedures
  • Responsible for operating equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.
  • Follows and supervises strict Food Safety procedures
  • Perform physical inventory as needed
  • Manages and maintains all records and documentation of service requests; utilizes software to log activity
  • Processes requests for supplies, prepares merchandise for delivery and prepares packages for shipping according to established procedures
  • Adheres to established procedures to provide a safe working environment including complying with

   Occupational Safety Health Administration and Aramark regulations

  • Maintains a clean and orderly environment to protect the safety and health of others
  • Cleans all warehouse areas to Aramark and client standards and requirements
  • Ensures security of company assets
  • Other duties and tasks as assigned by the manager

Qualifications

  • Previous warehouse experience preferred
  • Must be able to follow basic safety procedures and precautions due to physical risks
  • Must have a valid fork license
  • Demonstrates interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Basic math and counting skills required
  • Requires frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling up to 40 lbs
  • Requires frequent standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, and crouching
  • Must be available to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • Must be able to work in a cold environment
