A Day in the Life of a Housekeeping Manager at Pearson College


• You are a confident and accountable leader, managing a team of front-line custodial and housekeeping staff who are essential to maintaining a clean and safe campus environment.
• You provide supportive leadership that fosters trust, teamwork, and a culture of service excellence.
• You conduct regular inspections of academic, residential, and common areas to ensure cleanliness, safety, and compliance with campus standards.
• You oversee all aspects of personnel management, including hiring, onboarding, training, scheduling, performance evaluations, and—when necessary—collaborating with HR on disciplinary actions.
• You adapt cleaning protocols to meet the needs of a diverse student population and dynamic campus schedule.
• You maintain operational records and ensure compliance with Aramark and Pearson College standards, including safety logs, inspection reports, staffing schedules, and quality audits.
 

Ideal Candidate Profile


• A strong aptitude for learning and a proactive, can-do attitude.
• Proven ability to follow through on tasks, take initiative, and demonstrate ownership.
• Experience leading or supervising teams is an asset, but a strong sense of accountability is key.
• Excellent communication, customer service, organizational, and planning skills.
• Ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels in a fast-paced, student-centered environment.
