Job Description

The Mail Distribution Clerk receives, distributes, and delivers all mail including regular, overnight packages, vendor/messenger deliveries, as well as interoffice mail. 

Job Responsibilities

•    Retrieves incoming mail from local post office and brings outgoing mail to local post office daily.
•    Operates in a safe and efficient manner, documents usage, and coordinates maintenance of company vehicles.
•    Sorts incoming and interoffice mail by department and delivers the mail to respective departments.
•    Collects outgoing and interoffice mail from departments.
•    Sorts, weighs and applies postage to all outgoing mail utilizing both manual and sophisticated processing equipment.
•    Calculates special handling fees and enters such on documents.
•    Processes all internal & external distribution requirements as outlined by supervisor.
•    Scans all Fed Ex, UPS, DHL, USPS letters and packages and prepares for delivery.
•    Process outbound courier packages as needed.
•    Deliver priority items as per the recommended schedule.
•    Receive skids of paper and deliver paper to multi-function devices.
•    Receives building supplies and materials.

Qualifications

•    High school diploma or equivalent
•    Valid Driver’s License
•    Previous Mail Room or Distribution Services experience preferred
•    Knowledge of mail room software, hardware, and other equipment
•    Ability to multitask
•    Excellent customer service skills
