Job Description
Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for overall accounting and financial operations of the Executive Learning Centre (ELC) A/R, A/P, G/L, Payroll,
- Overall knowledge and understanding of Hotel Accommodation, Food and Beverage accounting including food quality, production, food ordering, receiving, menu design in all outlets
- Manage food cost and labor cost to budget in conjunction with Executive Chef
- Responsible for the management of all aspects of accounting including forecasts, cash handling, budgets, month end and year end P&L statements
- Work closely with General Manager, Director of Food Service, & Executive Chef regarding Costs, Labor forecasting and F&B Strategy.
- Conduct training as needed and when required
- Work closely with Aramark, Schulich School of Business and York University accounting departments
- Fully understand Point of Sale (POS), OPERA Property Management System
- Any and all other duties and responsibilities as needed and when required.
- Prepare weekly and monthly reports for General Manager and Aramark, Schulich School of Business, and York University
- Maintain client relationships for all financial reporting
Qualifications
• At least 3 years of financial planning & analysis experience
• Requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in finance, accounting, business or a related subject
• Must hold an Accounting Designation such as CMA, CGA, CPA.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to interact and effectively communicate to senior management and diverse teams
• Ability to coordinate a number of projects and prioritize accordingly
• Collaboration skills and the ability to influence and get results without formal authority
• Sound judgment and ability to learn quickly and adapt to new situations
• Strong working knowledge of Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Compensation Data
Annual Salary Range
$100,000 - $105,000
