Job Description
Aramark is recruiting an experienced Environmental Services (EVS) Manager for a leading hospital in Toronto. The EVS Manager is responsible for developing and executing facility solutions to ensure health and safety and quality and infection control standards are met in the cleaning and disinfecting of acute care areas. The EVS Manager is accountable for providing leadership, vision, and direction to the staff, program and department while adhering to the core values of the facility. Assists in providing strategic direction regarding the department's mandate, focus, and service delivery model and leadership to the department and organization in several key areas including short- and long-term capital planning, enhancement, and improvements.

Annual Salary Range
$72,000 - $77,500
Job Responsibilities
• Responsible to lead the operations of the facility by ensuring areas of responsibility meet objectives and client expectations.
• Lead a team of unionized support service staff to clean and disinfect medical equipment, patient rooms, treatment and operating rooms, emergency department and other acute care areas
• Follow Provincial Infectious Disease Advisory Committee (PIDAC) guidelines to provide and ensure a clean, safe, and sterile environment for patients, visitors, and staff
• Establish and maintain effective client rapport for a mutually beneficial business relationship
• Ownership and accountability of operational management and financial performance of the unit
• Ensure the completion and maintenance of financial statements relative to the department
• Implement and maintain agenda for labour and total quality management KPI requirements
• Build revenue and manage budget that includes cost controls for labour, supply, and inventory
• Create value through efficient operations, appropriate cost controls and profit management
• Understand performance metrics, data, order, and inventory trends; educate teams on key levers to improve margins

Qualifications
• Post-secondary degree or diploma Environmental, Sciences, or Business is preferred
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in environmental services, preferably healthcare/acute care
• Minimum of 2 year’s supervisory or management experience in a similar setting is required
• Must have experience managing unionized staff and interpret Collective Bargaining Agreements
• Knowledge of Provincial Infectious Disease Advisory Committee (PIDAC) guidelines
• Models key leadership behaviours and ensures the highest levels of safety, quality and service excellence are delivered
