Lighthouse Hospitality @ Memorial University - Food Crew Ambassador - Contract Position

We are looking for an energetic brand ambassador to represent Lighthouse Hospitality at events across campus throughout the academic year. You will be responsible for informing the Memorial University community about promotions, events and other peer-to-peer engagement opportunities.

Job Responsibilities

About the Job:

•  Ability to communicate student trends by providing information on student needs, study habits, and activities to assist in identifying missed on-campus markets.
• Interact with customers while working at various marketing events such as meal plan promotion tables, residence theme events, and promotions
• Act as a liaison between Memorial University services and the student body through peer-to-peer marketing, reaching out to student groups , coordinating the marketing schedule with university events, and conducting student surveys and focus groups
• Act as an ambassador for Lighthouse Hospitality by participating in dining events in retail, residence and catering. Additionally, helping to conduct mystery shopper audits and focus groups; providing general, and informal solicitation of student feedback
• assists the marketing team in driving participation, traffic and, sales in residential and retail locations through development and execution of events and promotions, working with Lighthouse Hospitality dining staff to ensure implementation, and the post-activity analysis.
• Conduct research for various projects throughout the academic year, including data collection regarding traffic patterns, competitive analysis, catering, and retail, customer service surveys.

Social Media:

• Taking photos, videos and post live content during various dining services events.
• Aide marketing manager in content creation

Marketing Support:

• Support program messaging by assisting the marketing team in design of collateral for various marketing campagins, inclusive of promotions, social media, advertisment, meal plan sales, etc.
• Distribute marketing materials to the dining locations and make sure materials posted are up to date (posters, maps, table tents, napkin ads, etc.)

*Please note this is a contract position ending April 2026.

Qualifications

About you:

• Outgoing, energetic personality
• Approachable and enjoys interacting with customers
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to think creatively and to be innovative
• Skills using technology and methodologies in graphic design and social nmedia strategy
• Ability to work well under pressure
• Photography skills are an asset
• Having a passion for food and/or being a self-proclaimed foodie is an asset
• Previous promotional, social media, and/or street team or brand ambassador experience is an asset
• Prusuing a degree in marketing, communications, or related field is an asset
• Must be a current student living in residence at Memorial University

The selected candidate for this position will need to complete and successfully pass a criminal background check.
