Job Description
LandSea Camp Services, an Aramark company and located in Squamish BC, is looking for an experienced Health, Safety and Environmental Advisor to join our growing workforce accommodation and catering company.
Reporting to the Remote Regional Safety and Risk Manager, the HSE Advisor is responsible for ensuring the highest level of support and compliance with the organizations’ HSE Program and OHS legislation.
This individual will work collaboratively with representatives from various operational departments to ensure that all employees deliver the best quality service while maintaining and improving our HSE programs on our remote sites. This position is generally accountable for providing day to day health and safety support through on-going training and guidance for all Managers and Supervisors at camp facilities.

Job Responsibilities
- Regularly update and improve existing HSE program and OH&S Manual in accordance with all permitting authorities, OHS legislation and organizational requirements.
- Provide on-going training, mentoring and guidance for managers, supervisor and employees in compliance and commitment to corporate HSE policies and procedures.
- Work with managers, supervisors, and employees to implement and improve effective health and safety processes at camp facilities.
- Direct and assist OFA 3’s and other safety related personnel to follow and practice company’s OH&S program, including conducting camp operations inspections and participate in committee and safety meetings.
- Conduct and record camp audits, ensure hazard assessments completed, and environmental policies and standards are followed to help close critical gaps in performance standards.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses. Document to comply with all external and internal company safety requirements, provide recommendations and enforcing preventive measures and corrective actions.
- Ensure all document control practices are followed both at head office and all camp facilities.
- Ensure all supplemental safety programs are followed, such as Outbreak Management Protocols
- Conduct monthly JOHS meetings.
- Maintain accurate records of employee training.
- WCB claims management.
- Support the continuing development and maintenance of emergency response and crisis management plans and the associated exercises.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years experience in health and safety role is required.
- Experience and/or knowledge in food safety, HACCP within a workforce, catering or hospitality setting.
- Progressive hands-on experience with safety inspections, investigations, audits, and training
- Ability to travel to remote sites as required to perform safety related responsibilities.
- Experience developing safety program and delivering training in a clear and effective manner.
- Knowledge of OH&S legislation and Workers Compensation
- Demonstrate knowledge of industry best practices to ensure worker health and safety in performing their daily duties.
- Computer proficiency, with emphasis on MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Self starter who can work both independently and as a part of a team.

Salary Range: $67,980-$85,000 CAD/ year
