Aramark is currently seeking a Pastry Cook for the Food Services department at Bishop’s University

Position: Pastry Cook

Location: Bishop’s University (2600 College Street, Sherbrooke, QC, J1M 1Z7)

Salary: $19.00 to $21.00 per hour, based on experience

Schedule: Schedule to be discussed during the interview

Start Date: Immediate

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare and bake a variety of homemade baked goods (cookies, pies, pastries, and more).
• Frost and decorate baked goods and pastries.
• Bake pre-prepared products.
• Prepare recipes and fulfill orders.
• Plan and organize work according to established priorities and standards.
• Support operational needs as required.
• Demonstrate excellent customer service skills and maintain a positive attitude when interacting with guests, customers, clients, and colleagues.
• Ensure the quality of food services and customer satisfaction.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Follow all sanitation and food safety programs and procedures.
• Comply with all applicable health and safety regulations.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Experience in food service or the hospitality industry
• Strong organizational skills
• Positive attitude
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Customer service oriented
• Bilingualism is considered an asset, as some of our customers are English-speaking
