Aramark is seeking Cooks for the Food Service Department at Bishop’s University

Position: Cook

Location: Bishop’s University (2600 College Street, Sherbrooke, QC, J1M 1Z7)

Salary: Between $19.00 and $24.00 per hour, depending on experience; to be discussed during the interview

Schedule: Saturday and Sunday — day and evening shifts available

Start Date: Immediately, 2026

Job Responsibilities

• Cook and prepare various food items following production guidelines and standardized recipes
• Prepare the daily menu
• Set up the workstation with all required ingredients and equipment; prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, cutting, and peeling food items
• Ensure quantities are respected and that quality meets Aramark standards
• Demonstrate creativity while meeting client needs
• Optimize food costs
• Participate in service
• Complete production, temperature, waste, and other required logs
• Participate in stock inventory counts
• Comply with all health, safety, and hygiene regulations in accordance with applicable laws, company policies and procedures, and M.A.P.A.Q. standards

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in food service or restaurant environment
• Catering preparation experience (asset)
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Autonomy in completing tasks
• MAPAQ Food Safety and Hygiene Certificate (asset)
• Ability to work under pressure during peak service hours
• Excellent customer service
• Positive attitude
• Diploma in culinary arts (asset)

The finalist candidate for this position will be required to undergo a criminal background check and, when applicable, a vulnerable sector screening. Employment with Aramark will be conditional upon results deemed satisfactory by the company.
