Job Description

The Field Marketing Coordinator plays a dynamic dual role, blending marketing, student engagement, and operational support within campus dining services. This position is responsible for promoting dining programs and enhancing the student experience through social media content, marketing campaigns, events, and campus outreach initiatives.

In addition to marketing responsibilities, the Field Marketing Coordinator supports the day-to-day operations of the dining hall, retail food outlets, and catering services, ensuring a positive and engaging experience for students, guests, and clients.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, creative, energetic, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. They enjoy balancing behind-the-scenes work, such as creating content and analyzing campaign performance, with hands-on interaction on the floor, engaging with students, guests, and team members to build strong relationships and drive participation in campus dining programs.

Work Schedule: Wednesday to Sunday.

Job Responsibilities

Marketing & Student Engagement

  • Develop and manage social media content for Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok.
  • Create and execute marketing campaigns promoting:
    • New menu items and recipes
    • Daily or weekly specials
    • Seasonal promotions
    • Catering offerings
    • Campus events and activities
  • Capture photos and videos of food, events, and student experiences.
  • Create promotional materials, posters, digital signage, and email communications.
  • Monitor social media engagement and respond to inquiries and comments.
  • Build brand awareness and increase student participation in dining programs.
  • Collaborate with the Student Committee and campus groups to develop engaging initiatives and events.
  • Plan and coordinate promotional activities, contests, and themed dining experiences.
  • Track marketing results and recommend improvements based on engagement data.

Field Support

  • Provide day-to-day operational support to the dining hall, retail outlets, and catering services.
  • Act as a liaison between front-line teams, management, and campus stakeholders.
  • Spend time on the floor ensuring service standards and guest satisfaction are maintained.
  • Support the planning and execution of catering events across campus.
  • Assist with event logistics, setup, execution, and follow-up.
  • Help coordinate staffing needs during peak periods and special events.
  • Monitor customer feedback and identify opportunities for operational improvements.
  • Conduct regular site walkthroughs to ensure cleanliness, presentation, and service quality standards.
  • Assist in inventory tracking, ordering coordination, and operational reporting as required.
  • Support implementation of food service promotions and ensure marketing initiatives are properly executed in operations

Qualifications

  • Diploma or degree in Marketing, Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field.
  • 1-2 years of experience in marketing, hospitality, food service, catering, event coordination, retail operations, or a combination of these fields.
  • Experience managing social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok.
  • Experience creating engaging digital content and promotional campaigns.
  • Experience in food service, hospitality, catering, retail, or customer-facing operations is considered an asset.
  • Bilingualism (French and English) is considered an asset, as a portion of our clientele is English-speaking.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and French.
  • Ability to build relationships with students, campus stakeholders, suppliers, and community partners.
  • Highly organized with strong time management and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and social media management tools.
  • Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar design platforms is an asset.
  • Must be authorized to work in Canada and not require work authorization sponsorship by Aramark for this position now or in the future

The pay range for this position is $48,000.00 - $55,000.00.
