ARAMARK is Hiring a Pastry Cook for its Food Services Department at Bishop’s University

Position: Pastry Cook

Location: Bishop’s University
2600 College Street, Sherbrooke, QC J1M 1Z7

Salary: $19.00 to $21.00 per hour, based on experience

Schedule: To be discussed during the interview

Start Date: Immediate

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare and bake a variety of homemade pastry products, including cookies, pies, pastries, and other baked goods.
• Ice, glaze, and decorate pastries and desserts.
• Bake pre-prepared products according to established standards.
• Prepare recipes and fulfill production requirements.
• Plan and organize work according to priorities and established procedures.
• Respond effectively to operational needs.
• Demonstrate excellent customer service skills and maintain a positive attitude toward guests, customers, clients, and colleagues.
• Ensure food quality standards are consistently met and customer satisfaction is maintained.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and hygiene programs.
• Follow all applicable safety regulations and procedures.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Qualifications

• Experience in food service, baking, or the restaurant industry.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Positive attitude.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Customer service oriented.
• Bilingualism (French and English) is an asset, as some of our customers are English-speaking.
