Title:  General Help (Events)

Job Description

Looking for General Help(events) part-time for our catering events and the successful candidate will be responsible for food preparation and serving in the catering area. Their duties include cleaning the kitchen area and equipment, creating food displays, arranging table settings, and serving guests. Main duties involves helping management when planning, organizing, and running food events on a regular basis.

Essential functions and responsibilities of the position may vary by Aramark location based on client requirements and business needs.  

Job Responsibilities

• Perform operational duties such as organizing and completing events.
• Greet and interact with all guests in a courteous manner and maintain visibility during functions.
• Organize and set tables, stations, buffets and carts for service according to the company standards and function specific requirements (includes: clean linen, china, silver and glassware, etc.).
• Communicate special requests or additional meal requirements to the supervisor / kitchen
• Use proper serving techniques during food service execution and ensure courses are properly cleared in a timely manner.
• Maintain high standards of safety and cleanliness in the function room and service area.
• Ensure storage and service area is clean and orderly at end of shift for next function.

Qualifications

• Provides excellent customer service to all guests (skill: communication) and ensures guest satisfaction
• Able to work under pressure and maintains a calm demeanor at all times (skill: works well under pressure)
• Maintains the event and anticipates the customer’s needs (skill: good planning skills)
• Someone who always arrives at their shift on time and maintains a consistent attendance (skill: punctual)
• Able to work flexible hours that include early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights and possible holidays
• Is a great multi-tasker and able to perform many different tasks within the store during each shift (skill: multitasker).

This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
