As part of the partnership between the Pessamit community and Aramark Québec, we are seeking First Cooks for the Hydro-Québec Manic-3 camp.

Aramark offers a 14/14 work rotation schedule.

Transportation is provided by plane from the Montréal and Québec City airports.

A shuttle service will be provided from Pessamit and Baie-Comeau to Manic-3.

Employees are provided with meals and accommodation in a private room. Washer and dryer facilities are available.

Position: First Cook

Location: Manic-3

Wage: $26.49

 

The schedule is 70 hours per week. Overtime is paid at time and a half after 40 hours worked.

Job Responsibilities

• Organize and supervise the daily preparation of meals according to the established menu, while ensuring quality standards and timelines are met.
• Cook and prepare a variety of food items following production guidelines and standardized recipes.
• Manage kitchen operations (staff, inventory, and ordering as required).
• Be able to respond to operational needs.
• Demonstrate excellent customer service skills and maintain a positive attitude toward guests, consumers, clients, colleagues, and others.
• Ensure the quality of food services and customer satisfaction.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Ensure compliance with hygiene and sanitation programs.
• Follow all applicable safety regulations.
• Perform any other related duties as required.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Professional Cooking (DEP) or equivalent experience.
• MAPAQ certification.
• 3 to 4 years of experience in food service or the restaurant industry.
• Strong culinary foundation (asset).
• Experience working in a remote camp environment (asset).
• Strong organizational skills.
• Positive attitude, honesty, and good judgment.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Ability to work independently.
