Job Description

As part of the partnership between the Pessamit community and Aramark Quebec, we are looking for general kitchen helpers for the Hydro-Québec Manic‑3 camp.

Aramark offers 14 days on / 14 days off work rotation.

Transportation is provided by plane from the Montreal and Quebec City airports.
A shuttle service will be available from Pessamit and Baie-Comeau to Manic‑3.

Employees are provided with meals and single-room accommodation. Washer and dryer facilities are available.

Position: General Kitchen Helpers
Location: Manic‑3
Salary: $21.02/hour

The schedule is 70 hours per week. After 40 hours, overtime is paid at time and a half.

Job Responsibilities

• Wash, transport, and store dishware
• Perform cleaning duties
• Maintain the kitchen and equipment
• Assist with food preparation as needed
• Be able to respond to operational needs
• Demonstrate excellent customer service and maintain a positive attitude toward guests, consumers, clients, colleagues, etc.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Ensure compliance with hygiene and sanitation programs
• Follow all current safety regulations

Qualifications

• Experience in a remote camp (asset)
• WHMIS certification (asset)
• Good physical stamina for lifting and carrying items
• Strong organizational skills
• Positive attitude, honesty, and sound judgment
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Ability to work independently

The final candidate for this position will be required to complete a criminal background check and, where applicable, a vulnerable sector check. Employment with us will be conditional upon results deemed satisfactory by Aramark.
