Job Description

ARAMARK is currently seeking General Kitchen Helpers for Hydro-Québec, East Baie-James.

Aramark offers a 15/13 work rotation schedule.

Transportation is provided by air from the Bagotville and Rouyn-Noranda airports.

Employees are provided with meals, private accommodation, and access to washer and dryer facilities.

Position: General Kitchen Helper

Location: Hydro-Québec, East Baie-James

Hourly Rate: $24.05

The hourly rate will increase to $25.05 in accordance with the applicable collective agreement following the successful completion of the 300-hour probation period.

The schedule consists of 70 hours per week. Overtime hours worked beyond 55 hours per week are paid at time and a half.

Job Responsibilities

• Wash, transport, and properly store dishes and kitchen utensils.
• Perform required cleaning and sanitation duties.
• Maintain the cleanliness and general upkeep of the kitchen and equipment.
• Assist with food preparation as required.
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation and always surrounding areas.
• Follow all applicable health, safety, and hygiene standards.
• Perform any other related duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a remote camp or isolated work environment is considered an asset.
• A valid WHMIS certification is considered an asset.
• Demonstrate flexibility and the ability to meet operational requirements.
• Adhere to all health and safety policies, procedures, and regulations always.
• Perform any other related duties required by operations or requested by management.

• Strong physical ability to safely lift, carry, and handle materials and equipment.
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain positive working relationships with clients and coworkers.
• Demonstrate strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Always maintain a positive and professional attitude.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Demonstrate independence, initiative, and a strong sense of responsibility in carrying out assigned duties.

A successful candidate for this position will be required to complete a criminal background check and, where applicable, a vulnerable sector verification. Employment with Aramark is conditional upon results deemed satisfactory by Aramark.
