ARAMARK is seeking a First Cook for Hydro‑Québec, Baie‑James East

Aramark offers a 15/13 work rotation.

Transportation is by plane from Bagotville and Rouyn‑Noranda airports.

The employee is provided with meals, private accommodation, and access to washer and dryer.

Position: First Cook

Location: Hydro‑Québec, Baie‑James East

Salary: $27.98/hour
Salary will increase according to the current collective agreement after the 300-hour probation period.

The schedule is 70 hours per week. After 55 hours, overtime is paid at time-and-a-half.

Job Responsibilities

  • Cook and prepare various foods following production guidelines and standardized recipes.
  • Prepare the daily menu.
  • Manage kitchen operations (staff, inventory, orders as needed).
  • Be able to meet operational needs.
  • Set up the workstation with all required ingredients and equipment. Prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, cutting, and peeling food.
  • Demonstrate excellent customer service skills and a positive attitude toward guests, consumers, clients, and colleagues.
  • Ensure food quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Clean the work area.

Qualifications

 

  • Preferably a vocational diploma (DEP) in cooking or equivalent experience.
  • 3 to 4 years of experience in food service or the restaurant industry.
  • Strong cooking fundamentals are an asset.
  • Experience in remote camp environments is an asset.
  • MAPAQ certification.
  • Ensure compliance with hygiene and sanitation programs.
  • Follow established safety regulations.

The pay range for this position is $27,98 - $28,98.
