Aramark is seeking Cooks for Camp Vimy, Valcartier Base

Position: Cook

Location: Camp Vimy, Valcartier Base

Salary: To be discussed during the interview

Schedule: Full-time and part-time positions available

Start Date: Early May 2026 (summer employment – May, June, July, and August)

Public transportation does not reach the site. Applicants must plan their own transportation to the military base. Carpooling may be possible after hiring.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist the Chef in preparing the daily menu
• Cook and prepare various food items following production guidelines and standardized recipes
• Carry out the cooking and finishing of dishes
• Set up the workstation with all required ingredients and equipment. Prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, cutting, and peeling food items
• Participate in meal services
• Ensure high food service quality and customer satisfaction
• Optimize food and labor costs
• Ensure compliance with management, health, hygiene, and food safety programs
• Be able to respond to operational needs
• Perform any other related duties as required

Qualifications

• 2 to 3 years of experience in food service or restaurant operations
• Demonstrate rigor and method in daily work
• MAPAQ Food Hygiene and Safety Certificate (an asset)
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Autonomy in performing tasks
• Positive attitude
• Strong customer service orientation

The selected candidate for this position will be required to undergo a criminal background check and, when necessary, a vulnerable sector check. Employment with Aramark will be conditional upon results deemed satisfactory by the company.
