Job Description

Aramark offers 14 days on / 14 days off work rotation.
After 40 hours worked, the next 30 to 40 hours are paid at time and a half.

Aramark provides a transportation allowance. Access to the camp is by air from Wabush Airport, and airfare is also covered by Aramark.

Employees are provided with meals and private accommodation. Washer and dryer facilities are available on site. We also offer highly competitive group insurance benefits.

Position: General Kitchen Helper

Wage: $21.65/hour

• Transportation premium
• Night shift premium
• Split shift premium

Job Responsibilities

• Assist with meal preparation
• Wash, transport, and store dishes and kitchen equipment
• Clean the kitchen and camp facilities
• Unload the train and store food and kitchen supplies
• Perform housekeeping duties within the camp facilities
• Be able to respond effectively to emergency situations
• Ensure compliance with food hygiene, sanitation, and food safety programs and standards
• Support operational requirements based on established priorities
• Perform other related duties as required

Qualifications

• Demonstrate versatility in the performance of duties
• Previous experience in a remote camp environment is considered an asset
• MAPAQ certification is considered an asset
• Be able to meet operational requirements according to established priorities
• Ensure compliance with food hygiene, sanitation, and food safety standards and programs
• Comply with all applicable safety policies, procedures, and regulations

• Demonstrate strong organizational and planning skills
• Exhibit a positive attitude, honesty, and sound judgment
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Demonstrate autonomy in the execution of assigned duties

A successful candidate for this position will be required to complete a criminal background check and, where applicable, a Vulnerable Sector Check. Employment with Aramark is conditional upon results acceptable to Aramark.
