Job Description
Aramark is recruiting a Chef Manager for our culinary service for a company just east of Toronto. This operation serves approximately 100 patrons during the weekdays from Monday – Friday.

Reporting to the General Manager, you’ll take a hands-on approach in focusing on team development, culinary expertise, safety protocol, and client relations. Our Chef Manager will also play a key role in helping us meet budget requirements and execute company-delivered programs. Job Responsibilities
• Select and develop recipes as well as standardize production recipes to ensure consistent quality
• Prepare and serve made-to-order dishes from the menu selection
• Establish presentation technique and quality standards, and plan and price menus
• Estimate food consumption, conduct inventories, ordering, receiving; manage costs and budgets
• Ensure proper equipment operation/maintenance and proper safety and sanitation in kitchen
• Provide exceptional customer service to the patrons who work for the client on-site
• Manages a small staff of 2-3 who assist in food service and opening/closing duties

Qualifications
• Requires a minimum of 3-5 years culinary experience and 1-2 years in a management role
• Post-secondary culinary degree or diploma is preferred
• Ability to prepare a variety of culinary dishes using PRIMA recipe database
• Some business acumen to manage budgets and P&L concepts
• Solid interpersonal and customer service skills to represent Aramark at the client site
• Requires advanced knowledge of the principles and practices within the food profession
• Requires good computer skills and strong oral communication ability
