We are hiring full-time Wait Staff to join our team at our Riverbank Social restaurant located on Carleton University campus. As a member of our Wait Staff team, you’ll master the art of creating an awesome customer experience. You’ll be responsible for taking orders, serving food and drinks, and making unforgettable memories with guests. Our Wait Staff love to keep our guests satisfied and are problem-solvers at heart. Riverbank Social is generally open Monday-Friday/daytime hours, however some schedules may include evenings or weekends.

About the Job
- Be well-versed in the menu and easily able to explain menu items, including ingredients, preparation methods, potential allergens, and make recommendations as appropriate
- Accurately and efficiently take orders, ensuring no mistakes are made
- Serve food and beverages promptly and ensure customers are satisfied with their meals
- Remain alert and work with the culinary team on any food restrictions or allergies
- Provide the customer’s bill and receive payment
- Set up tables, buffet stations and any reservations requirements
- Greet guests upon arrival
- Clear tables and maintain a clean and organized workspace
- Ensure proper use and cleanliness of equipment
- Ensure adherence to all of Aramark Policies and Procedures
- May assist in Catering functions and services as required
- May perform other duties as required

About You
- 3+ years wait staff experience
- Excellent command of the English language (bilingualism an asset)
- Smart Serve certified
The selected candidate for this position will need to complete and successfully pass a Criminal Background Check.
