Job Description
“Houseman” are responsible for working as a team to maintain, break down, and refresh room set ups for conferences, large events, and meetings. As well as refreshing rooms during the day, and providing a world class experience for our guests.”
Qualifications
- Steel toe work boots
- The ability to lift up to 50lbs
- Must be able to read, write and communicate efficiently in English
- Availability to work overnights if required.
- Experience in the hotel or banquet setup field is appreciated but not required.
This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective equipment (PPE).
Job Responsibilities
Know and comply with all ARAMARK and client policies and procedures regarding safety, security, and emergencies
Assures that all housemen report to duty punctually, well-groomed, and in proper attire and is responsible to the conduct and behavior of said staff
Coordinate with other departments when required
Facilitate room setups or flips by reading and understanding floorplans, assigning houseman to required tasks and having a working knowledge of all equipment and room setups
The shift may also include the use of ride on tow motors and/or pallet jacks
Provide management with a detailed pass off at the end of shift
Ensure room set up and refresh standards are upheld.
Utilizes time and resources in the most efficient and effective manner possible
Must work well with fellow employees, as a team member, working toward common goals
Keep water services and amenity stations (mints, paper, pens) stocked in all meeting rooms
Provides a safe environment for customers by keeping assigned area free of clutter.
Properly stores all materials and equipment at the end of each working shift
Abides by and upholds overall customer service standards
Performs other such duties as may be required or directed
