Job Description
Aramark Canada is currently seeking an experienced bilingual (English-French) General Manager to oversee Business Dining culinary and catering operations. As General Manager, you would lead a team of 10 staff and manage a $2 million account. We are looking for a Leader who is enthusiastic about managing and developing their team to deliver world-class services.
Our General Managers are capable operations managers who lead a team to provide excellent service to our clients. With knowledge of the client’s business, positive relationship building skills, financial savvy, and a focus on safety, our team makes a difference every day.
Job Responsibilities
• Direct and lead a team in the delivery of culinary and a high volume of catered events
• Strong leadership to deliver quality, cost control, labour, scheduling, staffing, training, development, and mentorship
• Manage client relationships on continually assess operations, and develop plans to provide optimal service while driving employee and client satisfaction
• Prepare business plans, budgets, and forecasts, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting
• Recommend methods, resources, and implementation to enhance culinary and catering services
• Ensures compliance with Aramark's standards of operation including safety standards and Aramark’s Business Conduct Policy.
• Maintain procedures and compliance for purchasing, receiving, storage, preparation, human resources marketing and adhere to both Aramark and government record compliance.

Qualifications
• Fluently bilingual in English and French at the professional level is required
• University degree or College diploma in Hospitality, Business Management is preferred
• Successfully demonstrated minimum 3-5 years’ experience in a leadership capacity
• Experience executing upscale, high volume banquet or catering service in hotels or resorts
• Profitable management ability to manage services under contract with the client enduring profitability
• Financial literacy to analyze statements, operating reports, budget variance reports and other financial statements specific to food, labour cost and inventory control.
• Must possess superior interpersonal skills to influence stakeholders at both the client and Aramark level and inspire the operations team
