ARAMARK is looking for 1st and 2nd Cooks for the Nemiscau Camp, Baie-James
Aramark offers 14 days on / 14 days off work rotation.
Transportation is provided by plane from the airports of Montreal, Québec (Bagotville), and Rouyn-Noranda.
Employees are fed and accommodated, with private rooms. Washer and dryer are provided.

Position: 1st Cook
Salary: $26.48/hour
Position: 2nd Cook
Salary: $25.42/hour
Location: Hydro-Québec, Nemiscau, Baie-James
The schedule is 70 hours per week. After 55 hours, overtime is paid at time and a half.
Only selected candidates who are eligible to work in Canada will be contacted.
Job Responsibilities first cook
- Cook and prepare a variety of foods following production guidelines and standardized recipes.
- Prepare the daily menu.
- Manage kitchen activities (staff, inventory, ordering as needed).
- Respond effectively to operational needs.
- Set up the workstation with all required ingredients and equipment. Prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, cutting, and peeling food items.
- Demonstrate excellent customer service and maintain a positive attitude with guests, consumers, clients, colleagues, etc.
- Ensure high quality of food services and customer satisfaction.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation.
Job Responsibilities second cook
- The main responsibility is the preparation and setup of the following day’s breakfast service starting at 5:00 a.m.
Prepare desserts for the day as well as special desserts for special occasions.
Ensure that all prepared and served items meet established standards and procedures.
Ensure that all items on the cold table are properly presented.
Ensure the quality of food services and customer satisfaction, in accordance with established standards and policies.
Perform other duties as required, as the above description represents a typical workday only.
Be willing to work overtime as requested.
Participate in stocking food items when required.
Clean the workstation.
Ensure the proper operation, maintenance, safety, and hygiene of kitchen equipment.
Follow all established safety regulations.
Perform any other related duties as needed.
Be able to meet the operational needs.
Qualifications
- Preferably hold a culinary vocational diploma (DEP) or equivalent experience.
- 3 to 4 years of experience in food service or restaurant operations.
- Strong culinary foundation is an asset.
- Experience in remote camp environments is an asset.
- MAPAQ certification.
- Ensure compliance with hygiene and sanitation programs.
- Adhere to established safety regulations.

The pay range for this position is $25.42 - $26.48.
