In this role, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating catering events, supporting kitchen and service teams, assisting with food preparation, and ensuring the smooth execution of daily food service operations. You will play a hands-on role in both event coordination and culinary support while maintaining the highest standards of quality, food safety, and customer satisfaction.

Job Responsibilities
- Event Planning and Coordination
Organize and coordinate catering services and special events. Ensure the successful planning and execution of events, including menus, orders, equipment, logistics, staffing, and timelines.
- Communication with the Kitchen
Maintain effective communication with the kitchen team to communicate client needs and expectations. Actively participate in weekly team meetings.
- Operational and Team Support
Guide, train, and support service employees. Ensure compliance with company standards, health and safety policies, and food safety requirements while fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Financial Management and Cost Control
Contribute to budget planning and monitoring. Track food and labor costs to achieve profitability goals and support operational efficiency while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Client Relations
Build and maintain strong client relationships. Understand client needs, provide tailored solutions, and ensure a professional and positive experience before, during, and after each event.
- Quality Assurance and Continuous Improvement
Maintain high standards for food quality, presentation, cleanliness, and customer service. Monitor client satisfaction, promptly resolve issues, and recommend improvements to processes and services.
- Administrative Responsibilities
Manage inventory, coordinate supplier orders, oversee billing processes, maintain accurate records, and prepare various operational reports as required.
- Support for Daily Operations
Provide hands-on support during events, service periods, and peak business times. Collaborate with kitchen and service teams to ensure the smooth execution of food service and catering operations while responding quickly to changing priorities.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in the catering, hospitality, food service, or culinary industry
- Experience supporting food preparation or kitchen operations is considered an asset
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
- In-depth knowledge of service techniques and event management
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Ability to solve problems quickly and effectively
- Attention to detail and strong focus on quality
- Flexible and willing to assist in both operational and kitchen environments

The pay range for this position is $55,000.00 - $60,000.00.
