Job Description
The IT Operations - Support Analyst is an integral part of the Aramark IT Infrastructure team, responsible for configuring and installing hardware, as well as providing technical support and troubleshooting for Windows servers, telecom systems, and networks. These systems are essential for connecting and securing mission-critical technology solutions and operational platforms at Aramark Canada’s head office, branch locations, and client sites.
In addition to conducting system analysis and contributing to the development of standard designs, the Technical Analyst performs ongoing maintenance operations.
This role requires strong analytical abilities and excellent customer and client relationship skills. Reporting to the Information Technology Manager, the Technical Analyst is proactive and works collaboratively with both business and IT colleagues to deliver outstanding client experiences and enhance the quality of service provided to Aramark operators.
A valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle are required for this role, as occasional travel may be necessary.
Job Responsibilities
- Foster strong collaboration with IT colleagues to ensure seamless infrastructure deployment for Field technology, including support for firewall activation, switch setup, and troubleshooting.
- Install, configure and maintain network and infrastructure including Routers, Firewalls, Switches, WAP’s, Servers, SAN, IP Telephony and backup solutions.
- Monitor support emails and tickets to promptly initiate and resolve incidents within established service level agreements, proactively contacting site personnel to address issues—especially those impacting revenue or critical business operations.
- Maintain accurate documentation for networks, Windows servers, and telecom systems, ensuring repositories are regularly updated.
- Participate in weekend and after-hours on-call rotations, serving as both the primary contact for urgent incidents and an escalation point for other IT teams.
- Travel to client sites and Aramark offices to install, configure and support network devices; this may involve lifting equipment, working in varied environments, and occasionally climbing ladders.
Qualifications
- An Associate’s Degree in Information Technology or equivalent professional experience is required; a Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of progressively responsible experience, including hands-on expertise with large-scale networks, Windows servers, and telecom systems.
- Must have several years’ experience working with network and infrastructure technologies such as WAN, LAN, WLAN, IPSec, switches, firewalls, routers, servers, and storage solutions.
- CCNP, MCSE, Fortinet, VMWare certifications are advantageous.
- Strong analytical, organizational, communication, interpersonal, and project management skills are essential for success in this role.
