Reporting to the HR Operations Director, as a Human Resources Operations Specialist, you will play a key role in strengthening our national HR Service Centre and supporting managers across Canada through insightful reporting, accurate data management, and reliable HR systems expertise. This 1‑year contract is based at Aramark Canada’s Head Office: 5150 Spectrum Way, Suite 200, Mississauga, Ontario L4W 5G2.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide guidance and support to managers on HR systems including SAP, ServiceNow, Checkr, Kronos, and SharePoint.
- Deliver administrative support across all HR systems and complete HR reporting and analytics requests, including maintaining recruiting and onboarding data.
- Support managers with HRIS inquiries across the full employee lifecycle: job requisitions, job descriptions, job postings, background checks, and onboarding.
- Process post-hire transactions such as leaves, layoffs, organizational chart updates, employee data changes, and terminations.
- Maintain organization and oversight of all Tier 3 HR Service Centre tickets.
- Collaborate with the HR Systems Manager on process and system improvement initiatives.
- Ensure all HR Service Centre tickets are accurately categorized and assigned to support proper tracking and reporting.
- Complete mail merges for mass communication letters and ensure accuracy.
- Support the involuntary termination process through risk assessments.
- Assist the HR Operations team with time-sensitive pay period close activities, including support for salaried time and attendance in Kronos.
- Maintain the HR Operations tracker, SharePoint documentation, and related logs.
- Escalate complex or high‑risk issues to HR managers and leaders and provide support as needed.
- Handle confidential employee and payroll information with the highest level of professionalism.
- Support HR projects and initiatives through reporting and administrative tasks.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field (required).
- 1–3 years of experience in HR or an HR Shared Services environment.
- 1–3 years of strong Excel and reporting experience, with the ability to analyze information.
- 1–3 years of experience using various HR systems.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) with working knowledge of HR systems.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- High attention to detail and a fact-based approach to problem‑solving; able to communicate with tact and diplomacy.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and support process improvements.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and self-learn.
- Ability to manage sensitive and highly personal information with confidentiality, maturity, and impartiality.
Compensation Data
Salary Range $45,000-$50,000 CAD/ year (based on experience)
