We are seeking a confident, driven individual to join our team as a Porter with Aramark at the University Club located on Queen's camps! Our Porters play an integral part in making the client’s vision come to life by transforming the event spaces. We currently have part-time opportunities available for team members with evening and daytime availability, both mid-week and on weekends.

Essential functions and responsibilities of the position may vary by Aramark location based on client requirements and business needs

Job Responsibilities

• Ensure the client’s ideas come to life, by setting up each event space to reflect their vision
• Transporting set up items to event locations
• Prepare event spaces by moving, arranging and setting up furniture as per event contact
• Set up tables and chairs based on the number of guests attending the event
• Tear down of tables, chairs and décor after event commences
• Make a difference in the lives of each and every one of our guests by directly contributing to their extraordinary experiences
• Exercise good judgment and demonstrate leadership abilities
• Drive positive change in the organization
• Cleans assigned areas to Aramark and client standards and requirements
• Reports maintenance concerns via work order requests to appropriate personnel
• Ensures security of company assets

Qualifications

• Previous custodial experience preferred
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs
• Maintains friendly, efficient, positive guest service demeanor towards guests, clients and co-workers
• Adaptable to guests’ needs

This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
