We are hiring part-time and full-time supervisors for our Retail food service locations on Queen's University campus with Aramark Canada Ltd.  We are seeking Supervisors who are passionate about hospitality and thrive in a dynamic, high-performance environment. The successful candidate  will be a key leader within our management team, ensuring a high-quality experience for our guests dining on campus and you will oversee service excellence, mentor and develop staff, and contribute to an exceptional atmosphere.

Job Responsibilities

  • Controls the labor costs by supervising daily staffing levels as needed while driving efficiency from all staff. 
  • Supervise and mentor service staff, fostering a positive, high-performance culture.
  • Conduct pre-shift meetings, ensuring team members are informed of events, daily updates on menu and any other pertintent inforamtion.
  • Lead by example with a hands-on management approach, assisting with service only when required.
  • Provide ongoing training and professional development for team members.
  • Ensure members and guests receive exceptional service, exceeding expectations.
  • Oversee daily service operations, ensuring seamless kitchen and staff coordination.
  • Handle guest feedback and service issues professionally, ensuring timely resolutions.
  • Assist in inventory management, ensuring proper stock levels for beverages, supplies, and equipment.
  • Manage revenue control procedures, working closely with the manager & management team.
  • Conduct safety inspections, ensuring compliance with health & safety regulations.
  • Audits service and quality on a regular basis. 
  • Adheres to all standards and established tracking procedures daily. 
  • Develops and implements strategies to achieve customer satisfaction goals. 
  • Supervisor accurate adherence to Aramark's time and attendance procedures. 
  • Ensure staffing level consistent with established guidelines and make daily adjustments based on business needs. 
  • All employees to be trained according to company standards for safety, health, and sanitation procedure

Qualifications

  • Proven leadership experience in food & beverage or hospitality.
  • Strong communication and people management skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-expectation environment.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Commitment to service excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Knowledge of health & safety regulations and best practices.

This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). 

Education

Minimum 1-2 years experience

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00.
