Time to start your career! This is your moment to shine. We’re hiring seasonal part-time hourly Runner/Bussers in Club Bell to join our passionate food & beverage Team.
Alongside the Club Bell Manager and Event Day Leads, you’ll be responsible for providing best in class experiences to our high-profile guests. We can’t wait to see your growth, all while igniting your passion and pursuing what matters to you.
This is a front-line position responsible for providing outstanding food and beverage service to our high-end clientele in Club Bell at Canadian Tire Centre. Reporting directly to the Club Bell Manager the Runner/Busser works with the team to create memorable experiences for our guests.
Job Responsibilities
OPERATIONS
Perform opening and closing duties as directed by the Club Bell Manager or Lead.
Assist with set up, execution, and tear down of the main buffet line and action stations
Able to work under pressure with a calm demeanor in an often-loud kitchen and arena environment
Main focus on event days is to keep all items in all food and coffee service areas replenished and clear of debris
Assist with switching from main dinner to desserts on the buffet in a timely and organized manner
Work closely with culinary team and communicate clearly
Ensure your work location in the designated prep area is always kept clean and orderly.
Become educated with all menu items and be able to assist guests with questions pertaining to food allergies and sensitivities
Sort dishware & cutlery properly, fold napkins and assist with resetting tables
When required, assist with keeping suites and side bars clean, help restock fridges, and organize dishes in the dish washing area
May be asked to assist the servers with clearing dishes from suites & loge seats
Bring all linens, garbage, compost and recyclable materials down to the recycling room at the end of each event
Assist with banquets and special catered functions when required
FOOD & WORKPLACE SAFETY
· Safety First every day. To have a workplace operation with zero incidents or injuries is a primary focus and goal by management and the corporation.
· Maintain a sanitary department following health & safety codes and regulations.
· Ensure that food items are stored in a safe, organized, and hazard-free environment.
· Maintain a safe and hazard-free working environment and work with Manager and Leads to address any safety concerns
· Ensure all food/safety temperature logs are completed with appropriate corrective action, as necessary

Qualifications
Ideal candidate has a flexible schedule to work daytime, evenings, weekends, some mornings, and holidays for all Ottawa Senators & Ottawa Charge Hockey games and other events as required
· Experience in a fast-paced, high-energy, VIP elevated environment is desired
· Must read, write, and understand verbal instructions in English. Knowledge of French is an asset.
· Excellent Guest Service Skills interacting with VIP Clientele
· High attention to detail
· Maintain emotional control under stress
· Must possess strong organizational and communication skills
· Enjoys working in a lively, fast-paced environment
· Well-groomed and professional attire (follow Aramark standards for uniform and grooming)
· Be available to assist with occasional morning, night, and weekend events for additional catering events as they arise.
· Knowledge of Food and Beverage preparation and presentation for VIP setups is an asset
· Must hold Smart Serve Certification
This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

The pay range for this position is $17.60 - $17.60.
