Aramark is recruiting an experienced Environmental Services and Laundry Supervisor for our Acute Care and Long -Term Care operations at Labrador Health Unit in Happy Valley - Goose Bay, Labrador. As Environmental and Laundry Supervisor you will work closely with the Manager and front-line team to ensure efficient departmental operation is maintained and Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) are being met to the satisfaction of our Client.

Job Responsibilities
• Assist the manager with oversight of daily operations of environmental and laundry department and direction of forty (40) unionized hourly staff
• Oversee cleaning audits, laundry quotas and identify areas for improvement and action plans
• Support in the optimization of Facility FitPro Information and Management platform for the site
• Create audits, project work schedules, populate employee training logs, assign routines, and report recommendations on employee staffing levels
• Liaise with internal client stakeholders during cleanliness inspections to ensure transparency, develop relationships, and ensure satisfaction and quality service
• Maintain tracking system for all required front-line associate training and certifications in accordance with company, provincial and federal regulations
• Support with employee in-operation training to ensure each employee has the knowledge and tools required to perform their tasks
• Conduct safety observations and attend at least one safety huddle per week; recording of completed safety activities in internal reporting system
• Assist the manager in labour optimization, including schedule overview, on-call scheduling and payroll entry

Qualifications
• 2-3 years environmental and laundry service experience in a healthcare setting
• Experience in a leadership and/or training role considered an asset
• Technical knowledge of custodial equipment, cleaning procedures, and project activities
• Desire to innovate and ability to ensure continuous improvement of duties and functions
• Experience working in a unionized environment is an asset
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Flexible schedule and some evening and weekend work may be required
• High degree of sensitivity working in a healthcare environment

The pay range for this position is $55,000.00 - $58,968.00.
