Aramark Canada is seeking a Grill Cook to join the Dal Food team at Zoca in the Life Sciences Center!

Reporting to the Manager, the Grill Cook will prep, cook, and serve a variety of food items for the students, faculty and staff who visit Zoca. The Grill Cook will also cover the breaks of their team members at Grille Works, and PizzaPizza.

Job Responsibilities

• Preps and cooks food in accordance with the menu
• May use grills, fryers, and ovens
• Support front line team in serving customers
• Assures quality, courteous customer service is provided to all customers
• Record temperatures, label products in accordance with FIFO, complete waste log and cleaning log
• Maintains continual cleaning and sanitizing of work area
• Assists with culinary auditing, temperature checking of food items within kitchen, stations, fridge’s and freezers
• Adheres to Aramark policies and procedures
• Additional duties may be assigned

Qualifications

• 2+ years grill or line cook experience required
• Institutional cooking experience considered an asset
• Strong customer service skills
• Ability and desire to work as a part of a team
• Repetitive motion, long periods of standing, frequently bending, reaching, twisting
• Flexible; evening and weekend work may be required

This is a union position with SEIU Local 2. Please note the Collective Bargaining Agreement is being negotiated and wages are subject to increase!
