The Concessions Event Supervisor is an extension of the Concessions Management team and oversees the day-to-day operations of a group of concession locations ensuring excellent customer satisfaction, leading a team of associates and maintaining standards. This key role involves setting up concessions locations, managing inventory, cash/POS reconciliation, enforcing policies and adherence to applicable laws along with ensuring a safe and positive environment for all staff and guests. 

Job Responsibilities

A successful Concession Event Supervisor will be responsible for:
•    Supervise, train and mentor employees working in assigned areas.
•    Ensure operational efficiency,
•    Assigning duties, ensuring adequate staffing and providing guidance and support to associates.
•    Ensure adherence to company policies and standards.
•    Overseeing the set-up of concessions locations before each event, including inventories, stocking, food & beverage prep. and equipment checks.
•    Overseeing the closing of concession locations after each event including inventories, re-stocking, sanitation, equipment checks and securing of product.
•    Interacting with guests and addressing their needs, providing a positive experience. Resolving minor issues if required and escalating more complex problems to your manager.
•    Ensure attendants are properly operating the point-of-sale system, ringing in transactions and collecting payments. 
•    Ensuring food is prepared and handled safely following hygiene and sanitation standards.
•    Monitor the preparation and assembling of food and beverages, ensuring completed according to established recipes and guidelines.
•    Maintaining sanitation and safety, reporting and concerns or incidents according to policy.
•    Adhering to established procedures and policies for food & beverage preparation, credit/debit/cash and customer service while upholding venue standards.
•    Ensure adherence to all Government regulations, laws and in-house policies on Responsible Alcohol Service including ID checks and managing over-service situations.
•    Maintaining all the event paperwork including completion of opening & closing counts, re-counts, waste tracking, product transfers, re-stock orders and assisting with the end of night reconciliation.   
•    Ensure the concession locations operate smoothly and efficiently, including setup, shut down and maintaining a clean, organized and stocked work area.
•    Additional tasks assigned by the Manager

Requirements

•    Friendly, welcoming and able to interact with customers and co-workers in a positive manner.
•    Excellent communications and interpersonal skills.
•    Ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment; capable of handling multiple tasks and working under pressure.
•    Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
•    Serve Right Certification and a minimum age of 18 to serve in the Province of Nova Scotia.
•    Food handling certification as required by the Province of Nova Scotia.
•    Ability to use a point-of-sale (POS) system for order taking and payment processing.
•    Knowledge food safety and hygiene practices and regulations.
•    Ability to work effectively as part of a team promoting a positive culture. 
•    Ability to follow and also provide directions.

•    Capable of standing and walking for extended periods.
•    Frequently lifting and carrying items such as food supplies, prepared menu items and beverages often and may be up to 30 lbs.
•    Repetitive hand and arm movements and motions such as preparing food & beverage orders, entering orders into the point-of-sale system, restocking items.
•    Stand Leads need to bend and reach to access items, serve customers and clean surfaces.
•    Ability to work in a variety of conditions including variable temperatures, and potentially around wetness, noise and other hazards. 
•    Potential for working in some locations with limited space.
•    Flexibility; willingness to work various shifts including evenings, weekends and holidays.
