Job Responsibilities
- Schedules and assigns daily work assignments to a team
- Oversees the completion of tasks including receiving products and merchandise, checking for quality and damages to items, and the proper storage of the delivered products and merchandise
- Follows up for credits for returned, shorted, damaged items
- Ensure safe work practices regarding the use of equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.)
- Ensures accurate loading of delivery vehicles
- Ensures delivery schedules to Receiving Institutions are met
- Performs physical inventory as needed
- Manages and maintains of all records and documentation of service requests; utilizes software to log activity
- Processes requests for supplies, prepares merchandise for delivery, and prepares packages for shipping according to established procedures
- Ensures security of assets
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in transportation, distribution, or logistics management.
- Expertise in cook-chill technology and processes.
- Strong understanding of logistics, inventory management, and supply chain processes.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Proficiency in using logistics software and inventory management systems
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Familiarity with the operation and maintenance of equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
