Job Responsibilities

  • Schedules and assigns daily work assignments to a team
  • Oversees the completion of tasks including receiving products and merchandise, checking for quality and damages to items, and the proper storage of the delivered products and merchandise
  • Follows up for credits for returned, shorted, damaged items
  • Ensure safe work practices regarding the use of equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.)
  • Ensures accurate loading of delivery vehicles
  • Ensures delivery schedules to Receiving Institutions are met
  • Performs physical inventory as needed
  • Manages and maintains of all records and documentation of service requests; utilizes software to log activity
  • Processes requests for supplies, prepares merchandise for delivery, and prepares packages for shipping according to established procedures
  • Ensures security of assets

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in transportation, distribution, or logistics management.
  • Expertise in cook-chill technology and processes.
  • Strong understanding of logistics, inventory management, and supply chain processes.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Proficiency in using logistics software and inventory management systems
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with the operation and maintenance of equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
