Alongside a manager who will help coordinate and lead operations, you’ll help oversee staff, collaborate with teammates, and help where needed. We can’t wait to see your growth, all while igniting your passion and pursuing what matters to you. 

Job Responsibilities

  • Schedules and assigns daily work assignments to a food service team and oversees the completion of tasks
  • Trains and guides staff on job duties, proper food safety and sanitation procedures, customer service, etc.
  • Prepares and builds food items according to standardized recipes and directions for the purposes of training and coaching employees to meet standers and execution vison.
  • Ensures food is safely stored by adhering to food safety policies and procedures – coach guide employees on correct safe procedures as required.
  • Ensures all workstations including prep tables, service counters, hot wells, steam tables, etc. are  properly set up for services following menu mapping, destination station set up, Fresh Food Company merchandising and/or any planograms or standards. Accurate and timely development and posting of 
    station signage for all service stations.
  • Ensures the breaking down, cleaning, and sanitization or all workstations
  • Oversees the serving of food to customers while ensuring guest satisfaction and anticipating the customers’ needs and surges in customer volumes are being met.
  • Guides the replenishment of food items and ensure product is stocked to appropriate levels
  • Maintains excellent customer service and cheerful outlook towards guest, customers, clients, co- workers, etc.
  • Adheres to Aramark safety policies and procedures including proper food safety and sanitation
  • Ensures security of company assets including cash control processes and balancing of floats and deposits.
  • Transports change, pickups, and banks in a safe and timely manner
  • Responsible for accurate reporting on monies exchanged from employees at the end of each day/event
  • Adhere to money handling procedures and policies
  • Oversees the completion of tasks within a catering, restaurant, or suites environment
  • Trains and guides staff on job duties, proper food safety and sanitation, customer service, etc.
  • Sets up work areas according to guest/client requests, banquet event orders, Aramark standards, etc

Qualifications

  • 2+ years' experience in people-leadership role required
  • Significant culinary experience regardless of industry required
  • Experience with large quantity batch cooking an asset
  • Experience working in a union environment an asset
  • Knowledge of and commitment to upholding high standards of food safety and hygiene
  • Skilled in task prioritization and time management
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently supervised and unsupervised
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a genuine desire to provide outstanding customer service
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team, collaborating with colleagues to ensure smooth operations

 

This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
