Aramark is recruiting a Food Service Manager to manage a cafeteria and Tim Hortons outlet inside a facility located in Chalk River, Ontario. This is a Monday – Friday day shift that provides breakfast, lunch and catering services to the client staff and management.

 

The Food Service Manager is a management position responsible for developing and implementing dining solutions to meet customer needs and tastes. Oversees and manages dining operations where customers order prepared foods from a menu.  The Food Service Manager is required to assist the operations as required on a daily basis.

Job Responsibilities

 

  • Manage daily food service operations and team regarding production, quality, and control
  • Plans, directs, and coordinates food service activities in order to deliver a finished product to the customer
  • Manages a team of 10-12 unionized staff providing direction, coaching and assistance as required
  • Manages and executes all on-site client catering for pick up
  • Oversee all purchasing for the account to ensure production matches day-to-day volume for the operation, Tim Hortons and catering
  • Follow the Operational Excellence fundamentals by meeting and maintaining food and labor initiatives
  • Ensure individual and team performance meets objects and client expectations
  • Manage the Client relationship and ensure the client facility is well maintained
  • Bring value through efficient operations, appropriate cost controls, and profit management

Qualifications

•    2-3 years management experience in a food and beverage operation
•    Previous experience working or managing a Tim Hortons operation is an asset
•    Previous experience managing in a unionized environment is an asset
•    Experience with ordering and inventory processes and documentation
•    Must be computer literate to work within various programs such as on-line ordering
•    Ability to maintain effective client rapport for mutually beneficial business relationships
•    Ability to demonstrate excellent customer service using Aramark’s standard service model
•    Requires occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lbs.
•    Must pass a Criminal Background check and Enhanced Reliability federal clearance

The pay range for this position is $55,000.00 - $63,000.00.
